Steven Maxwell
Steven is an investment director on the European equity desk, responsible for researching the European financial sector and managing 18 European equity portfolios for life assurance clients.
Before joining SWIP in 2004, Steven worked for Standard Life Investments for nine years as part of the European equity team. He gained experience in managing assets in Scandinavia and the Irish equity market, before moving to sector coverage in 1999, concentrating on the European banking sector. Prior to joining Standard Life, he worked for Dunedin Fund Managers as a fixed income manager between 1994 and 1995.
Steven began his career in 1985 with the Life Association of Scotland. He moved into the investment management division in 1987 as an analyst initially responsible for sterling money market funds and foreign exchange analysis before managing Irish equities from 1989.
