Rod Davidson
Rod Davidson joined SWIP in August 2006 as the global head of fixed income. Reporting to Andrew November, chief investment officer for fixed income and property, Rod is responsible for expanding SWIP's fixed income offering with a focus on bond products, primarily for international markets.
With over fifteen years experience in international bond markets, most recently as global head of fixed income at Aberdeen Asset Management. Rod will also have overall responsibility for the investment performance of all SWIP's fixed income products.
At Aberdeen Rod was also a member of the executive management committee and the investment committee. Prior to this, he was head of bonds and economics at Murray Johnstone in Glasgow; and had previously managed global bond money for Sun Life Investment Management, The Kuwait Investment Office and Provident Mutual. Rod began his investment career as global bond economist with UBS Philips & Drew in 1987. He holds a BA in economics from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh.
