20.05.2010

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has strengthened its Private Equity team with the appointment of Narcisa Sehovic as Investment Manager.

Based in SWIP’s London office, Narcisa reports to Billy Gilmore, Head of Private Equity at SWIP.  Narcisa’s responsibilities involve the management of all of SWIP’s private equity mandates and researching the Benelux, CEE and Italian regions of the European private equity market to identify long-term investment opportunities in this asset class.

Narcisa brings 13 years of investment experience to the role and boasts a strong background in the European private equity market, specifically in the execution of merger and acquisition (M&A) financing assignments.  She joins from Alphex One Limited where she was a Director in the M&A Advisory team. Prior to that, she was Executive Director at Goldman Sachs International within its Investment Banking Division where she was responsible for the coverage of public and private companies across a number of market sectors.

Billy Gilmore, Head of Private Equity at SWIP comments:-
“Narcisa brings a wealth of experience to the role and her relevant skills in the corporate finance area add further strength to the team.  We are delighted that Narcisa is joining us to help drive forward SWIP’s ambitions in this asset class.”

SWIP’s private equity expertise is focused on the European private equity market including Eastern Europe where its research covers buyout funds including turnaround funds, special situations, distressed debt and mezzanine.

In the nine years since the move into private equity, SWIP has committed over £1.3bn* to private equity funds on behalf of its clients.
